Jack Sparrow must use Paternalistic style of leadership to persuade the workers to work for him even there had been fire in the warehouse and minor accidents in the assembly line. This is because Paternalistic leadership is about giving the workers on social needs and view of their workers. Jack Sparrow must take care and protect the workers so that the they will be loyal him. In order to build the relationship with the workers, Jack Sparrow must support them, developing their skills and giving them opportunities that are suitable with their talents and interest. By building the workers up, Jack Sparrow can develop a loyal and capable professional network.
In Addition, Jack Sparrow must discuss with the workers over issues and listen to their feedback whether the factory that they use to work in it is safe or unsafe. If the factory is unsafe, he must take responsibilities to inspect the factory. He must call the Rescue and Fire Department to check the factory in order to achieve the high safety satisfaction level. The safety tools in the workplace must be in good conditions. For example, the fire extinguisher must be refilled when being used or empty, prohibit the workers to use the fire hose reel for their own purposes and fire sprinkler and alarm bell function well. The Fire and rescue department can demonstrate how to use fire extinguisher and fire hose reel to the workers so that they can be well prepared if accident occurs on the work place. Jack Sparrow also must provide the workers training about safety. This is to ensure that all the workers can understand about the safety, can work more safely and be more productive.
Jack Sparrow will get benefit with Paternalistic leadership styles when carried out successfully. The workers will work harder to complete the task within the time given so that they can reach their objectives and sometimes even exceed, their goals in order to please the parental leader and can bring the family, honor. Jack Sparrow also can use the Theory Z to make the workers feel energetic to work again. Theory Z are more focuses on motivate the workers by creating strong social relationship among them and company. Theory Z is same as the Paternalistic Leadership as it can give satisfaction job to the workers, lower rates of turnover and higher quality products.

The difference between USA and Taiwanese is we can look at the from in-depth interviews and participant observation that we found in as a secondary data, this issue compares the cross-cultural communication processes between easterners and westerners in an Asian cultural context. The data reveal that westerners tend to communicate with Taiwanese people in an outspoken and brusque way and to make few changes during the communication process. On the contrary, easterners are inclined to communicate with a gentler approach and adjust for the local culture.” (Yaolung James Hsieh, (2011)). But in USA, they are known as a relatively narrow focus results in a tendency to be literal-minded, direct, and highly explicit. With this, there are conclude the basic thing that need for this case is both parties need to get to know the team cultures differences and adapt.
If looking at the Iceberg-model explain, “what manager said is more important” so what Jack Sparrow said is what the worker in Taiwanese need to follow. The solution is, Jack need to create clear norms and maintain workers. When there are a multicultural team, there also need to have several different work styles in play. As a result, it is up to the team leader which is Jack to establish norms in workplace. Once created, everyone especially local workers need to stick with these established standards, regardless of what their personal default is. Indeed, it is not a good idea to have an impose style but if we take into consideration that it might be a good strategy what works best for the entire team. Implementing practices from other cultures is also often useful. So, the main point here is Taiwanese need to take more serious on what Jack recommend and plan for the team because in corporate rule they are a big power which is Jack are hold a big authority in this situation because Jack are the leader.
Another solution is with reduce the misperception. The misinterpretation can be caused by inaccurate perceptions of a person or situation that arise when what exists is not seen. As in this case, Jack cannot see evil spirit that local workers keep rumors about it. This issue is currently being culture strongly influences. That is based on Taiwanese cultural background to believe in evil spirit or superstitions. Jack need to respect the host country culture and consider a request from local supervisor to bring a priest to give confident the local worker that the workplace is already safe from evil spirit with help from priest. The reduce of misperception can help both parties being tolerate with each other.
The last solution is Jack need to address conflict immediately. Issues the wife and two children local plan supervisor were killed in automobile accident, Jack need to keep this situation under control instead of waiting this conflict become big. Yes, this issue is inevitable but as a leader Jack need to take responsibilities. If tension does come up, make sure to address it right away don’t let the issues become big because old cases are being ignore then come with other issues which is lot of minor accident keep happen on the assembly line. If Jack can manage the old issues, he can help ensure a small, manageable conflict doesn’t turn into something that’s impossible to manage. When they do this, they can serve as a cultural bridge to minimize the effects of conflict.
