“Memento” is about a man name Leonard Shelly who lose his memory due to a head injury and has amnesia and trying gain his memory loss to solve the murderer of his wife when they both were attacked. It is hard to remember much to long even though he was the person that killed his own wife. His memory loss was just like he was consciousness in thought but with a with a puzzled expression Although people with amnesia do lose the ability to remember, he suffered anterograde amnesia in which this the inability to form any new memories after a given point in time. For him to cope with this condition he used tattoos and writing notes whenever he remember pieces of what happen to his wife. Leonard, didn’t seek any counseling. He received information from who he thought he can trust, in which later was betrayed. The therapeutic approach for this character would be Cognitive therapy because it works with what people think rather than what they do.
